Summary

Are you an experienced traffic engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Look no further! CFS Engineers is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated traffic engineer with at least 7 years of experience to join our growing team.

As a traffic engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation systems to improve the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Your expertise will be essential in developing solutions to complex traffic problems and improving the overall efficiency of our transportation networks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify key traffic issues and recommend solutions

  • Develop traffic signal timing plans and design traffic signal systems

  • Design and implement traffic control devices, such as signs and pavement markings

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop transportation projects

  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates

  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure project goals and deadlines are met

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in traffic engineering

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

  • Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, standards, and practices

  • Experience with traffic engineering software, such as Synchro and VISSIM

  • Familiarity with transportation design standards and guidelines, including MUTCD and AASHTO

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
