LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

CFS offers expertise in landscape architecture integrating the relationship between indoor and outdoor environments while highlighting the location’s natural ecosystem. To add distinct beauty to the location, we investigate active transportation connectivity and green infrastructure using native vegetation to create memorable places that respond to the needs of our client and their preferred aesthetics. Our vast design experience includes streetscapes, urban plazas, residential sites, college campuses and schools, public service buildings, office complexes, and restaurants and we are experts in applications of native vegetation, signage, gateways, and community attractions.

Center Stage | Branson, Missouri

To improve their customer’s experience and update the look of the facility, Branson Center Stage invested in dramatic renovations to the front of the restaurant by upgrading the front patio and adding a second patio along the east side of their facility. The owners also implemented many elements of the Complete Streets Master Plan for Highway 76, developing a new promenade and driveway crossings with new pedestrian access from the promenade to the restaurant. The front patio improvements include a new fireplace, generous landscaping and a lighted pergola. The new patio is nestled around the existing mature trees and surrounded with new heavy landscaping to create a cozy guest environment. This theme is enhanced by utilizing tree wrap lighting and cascading string lights as well as the existing lantern style fixtures that are present.

Wheatfield Village | Topeka, Kansas

CFS Engineers worked with local developers and community groups to re-imagine the once run down strip mall at the corner of 29th & Fairlawn with upscale and unique amenities unlike any currently in the City.  The concept of Wheatfield Village was born to include a hotel, movie theater, restaurants, and a 178-unit apartment complex with a connection to the Shunga Trail.
