Wheatfield Village

CFS Engineers partnered with local developers and community groups to conceive and construct the first upscale mixed-use neighborhood in Topeka. This 14-acre area seamlessly integrates retail, dining, a movie theatre, and a farmer's market pavilion/event space into a classic street setting connected to the Shunga Trail.

As part of the public improvement plans, the 29th and Fairlawn intersection underwent significant upgrades to maximize every square foot and provide ample parking and traffic flow. Despite the constrained area and highway location, CFS's engineering services helped create dedicated dual-turning movements and improved pedestrian facilities. Traditional streetscapes and building forms add to the pleasant pedestrian experience.

The new 173-unit luxury apartment complex offers a range of floor plans, from studios to one—and two-bedroom apartments. Its amenities include secure parking, a swimming pool, a 24/7 fitness center, and an outdoor entertainment area. CFS provided professional engineering services, including surveying, site planning, and geotechnical analysis.
