JOB Summary
The Marketing & Proposal Specialist supports the development, coordination, and production of high‑quality proposals, statements of qualifications, marketing materials, and pursuit content for CFS Engineers. This role also leads traditional marketing activities such as newsletters, event coordination, and career fair support. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while partnering closely with technical staff, project managers, and leadership.
DUTIES / Responsibilities

Coordinate with HR, leadership, and project teams to support companywide communication initiatives.

Assist with internal and external communications, including announcements, social media posts, and event promotions.

Support CFSE’s presence at career fairs, college fairs, and community events, including logistics, materials, and booth setup.

Maintain consistency with CFSE branding, messaging, and visual identity across all materials.

Lead or support the preparation of proposals, SOQs, and interview materials for municipal, state, and federal clients.

Coordinate with project managers and technical staff to gather project information, resumes, and required content.

Develop clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal narratives tailored to each client’s needs.

Track proposal outcomes and support reporting for leadership and business development.

Format, proofread, and assemble final proposal packages in accordance with CFSE standards.

Develop and distribute the company newsletter, including content gathering, writing, layout, and scheduling.

Perform additional responsibilities and extended hours as needed during peak proposal cycles or time‑sensitive marketing deadlines.
Required and/or Preferred Skills/Abilities

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.

Experience using Canva for layout, graphics, and marketing content creation.

Familiarity with AEC proposal processes, RFQs/RFPs, and public procurement.

Experience supporting events, career fairs, or recruitment marketing.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience.

1–3 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or communications (AEC industry experience preferred).
