Summary
CFS Engineers, P.A. is looking for a qualified Transportation / Traffic Engineer with experience for design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. A background in traffic engineering modeling is also valuable as our team develops designs for signing and striping, traffic signals and construction traffic control, providing full-service roadway design to our clients.
You must have strong technical skills in transportation modeling design and planning.
Responsibilities

Experience managing multiple on-going projects and multi-discipline project teams as well as coordinating with Department of Transportation clients.

Evaluation and design of multi-modal (automobile, pedestrian, bicycle, transit, freight) facilities and corridors, from the planning stage to final design and bidding documents

Utilize professional engineering license to apply current engineering principles and theories, design specifications, and federal, state, and local design standards to develop plan sets and specifications for various projects;

Prepare and review plans, making decisions regarding layouts, alignments, standard designs, tabulations, specifications, quantities, acquisitions and clearances, etc.;

Public meeting attendance

Assistance on responding to RFQ’s with our marketing team
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Registered Professional PE in Missouri (KS Registration also preferred)

PTOE also preferred

Proven hands-on experience with variety of transportation / traffic engineering projects

Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to assignment changes

Attention to details and accuracy

Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work with various teams is essential

Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Synchro, VISSIM, Word, Excel and Adobe
