CFS provided structural design for steel framing to support media in biotower and foundation design for pumps and pump building.

El Dorado Correctional Facility - Utility Tunnel Replacement | El Dorado, Kansas
This replacement project provided utility services to multiple locations throughout the correctional facility. The utility tunnel system was designed for functionality, flexibility, and with consideration for maintenance issues. Since the tunnel was within the confines of a correctional unit, security was a key issue. Cook, Flatt & Strobel assisted an inmate labor crew in initiating the construction activities. The project included:
Over 4000 feet of utility tunnel
Cross section up to 12’ x 9’
Waterproofing including waterstop joints
Complete drainage system
Precast removable top
Interface with existing building
Utility support design
Thrust restraints for pressure piping
