CFS Engineers, P.A. is looking for a qualified Civil Engineer Project Manager that is interested in being the point of contact on various projects across different market sectors. The primary duties of this position include serving in a lead engineer role, including the planning, analysis, and design. The tasks also include project scope, proposals, design project engineering, budgeting, scheduling, etc.


You must have strong technical skills in engineering analysis and design and have proven background of technical leadership on projects.  You will be involved in client communications, including client contact during design phases of these projects.  You will often perform as a technical specialist or task manager on medium to large projects. 


  • Successful Completion and delivery of assigned tasks/projects

  • Maintain client confidence by achieving their goals within the contract

  • Utilize professional engineering license to apply current engineering principles and theories, design specifications, and federal, state, and local design standards to develop plan sets and specifications for various projects;

  • Prepare and review plans, making decisions regarding layouts, alignments, standard designs, tabulations, specifications, quantities, acquisitions and clearances, etc.;

  • Assist marketing department with the pursuit of new projects

  • Preparing bid packages as indicated by our clients


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Registered Professional PE in Missouri (KS Registration also preferred)

  • Proven hands-on experience with variety of municipal engineering projects

  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to assignment changes

  • Attention to details and accuracy

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills (written and oral) and ability to work with various teams is essential

  • Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, Word, Excel and Adobe

  • Experience in Civil3D, GeoPAK, ArcGis, and is a plus
