About the job

As a Senior CAD Technician for our Bridge team in Kansas City, Missouri. You will provide assistance to engineers and designers using CAD software operations to create plans and perform design work.

Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Senior CAD Technician - Bridges, we'll count on you to:
• Create designs independently under broad direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager
• Demonstrate extensive BIM, design development, construction document, technical and engineering knowledge
• Complete projects with distinctive design features differing significantly from CAD Technician precedents as needed
• Work with client or contractor representatives as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience

• 5+ years structural design experience

• Expert in AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and other BIM design software

• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office

• Knowledgeable with standard structural codes and standards

• Ability to be a lead technician and work closely with Jr CAD Staff

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must


Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering technology/CAD preferred
